Following the production of the ‘Forgotten History of the Affligare’ fake archive at Spike Island, Bristol, I invented a single figure to fabricate an archive around. This was ‘Jim Chosen’ who was supposedly an underground revolutionary activist, Situationist and guerilla artist during the 1970’s who went deaf and was an early champion of disability rights.

I created various documents and artworks purporting to have been made by Chosen in the 1970’s including sloganeering graffiti, photo-montages, rock songs, poetry, a record, his guitar and various Situationist-inspired ‘detournements’, along with archival photos of the man (which were actually of me in the 1980’s).
